i have a 2001 montana . i have the cd player and i was wondering how do i get the code out of it. and when i do have it how do i enter it to unlock it.

Everything I have read on this says "The radio 'learns' part of the VIN" and "You have to return to the dealer to unlock the radio".

I assume they connect a computer to the vehicle to program in the VIN if the radio ever needs to be replaced.
