help,,,car wont start

if anyone has any advise about my sons car i would appreciate it....1987
...car would not start so we bought new battery and put it in...car still not starting...dash lights will come on but nothing else..will not even turn over like it is trying to start..no clicking no nothing......

I have the same problem, it was the cilanoid on the starter, so you need to replace the starter and cilanoid

Did the solenoid fix your starting problem? Mine is intermintent so I was just wondering.

we got the car started but it was not the starter. ithere was something wrong with the gas pedal. actually it was the cable running from gas pedal up in to the motor.
