can anyone let me know where the starter is located on a 1987?

it is a ciera and i know that it is a 4 cylinder motor but not much else about the motor at the moment. it is my son's car and it is about 20 miles away right now. thanks

It's bolted to the lower front side of the motor. You will see a thick electrical wire attached to it. If the starter isn't working disconnect the battery cables and remove the starter wires, clean the connections and replace them. Many times starters won't work because of dirty connections.
