Hi. I was recently given a 95 accord wagon ex, and am trying to decide whether it's worth fixing. The car has 200k on the od, but is very clean and appears to have been well maintained. Upon starting, the idle slowly rises, and after about 5 minutes it drops and begins to surge. Any thoughts on where to start would be very helpful. Money is tight, so I'm looking for advice. I also have a 91 dx coupe for parts ( it's the same motor I think) ??? Thanx

Re: 95 wagon surges!!
Vacuum leak causes this on lots of cars. Try using a spray bottle of water to see if you can find the leak. It will straighten up and idle right momentarily when the water gets drawn through the leak, if that's the problem. Especially check around intake and EGR gaskets.
