Question Lost all low end power...Please help!!!

I have a 1990 Civic Si. I have no low end power. As I drive I smell gas. (from the car not me I also have a strong gas smell coming from tail pipe. My cat was taken out until I can fix this problem. What could make my car run way to rich and have no power on the low end. Please help...

It sounds like a timing problem. Do you have adjustable cam gears?

I'm inclined to agree with enzo and matt. Have you messed with your distributor lately? And does the power "come back" at higher rpms?

you have a sub 2 liter 4 cylinder.

it does not make torque.

you want low end torque, get a v8.
