Question 87 Cav engines

Just out of curiosity what engines were available on the 87 Cavs? I had a 2dr Cpe as my first car when I was 16 and I can't remember what engine it was. Also anyone know the performance ratings on those?

Re: 87 Cav engines

I believe it was a 2.0 with a throttle body injection system generating 88 hp.

The 88 hp sounds familiar. My car was the waaaaaaaaaay bottom of the line with manual, AM radio only, no passenger side mirror, no a/c etc. It had a stripped out spark plug in the 3rd cylinder and it ran so bad on 87 octane that I had to put premium in to make it run good! Ah, those were the days!
