Hi ppl,
I desperately need help, here`s the problem: The jeep was O.K. -> one week not in use -> the battery was low -> the engine started hardly, all electrical equipment blinked to death, the CD/RC/tuner forgot its code AND the transmission was dead.... not a sign of movement neither in R or D, the oil level is equal with engine running and stopped - seems like the torque converter is not moving at all; there were seven error codes - five for the engine and two for the tranny, after resetting, one for the tranny is persistent - the oil pressure detector is out; does any of this sound familiar to any one, any advice - where is situated this oil pressure thing, how to short-circuit it, or this is not the real problem ?!? HELL WITH THE ELECTRONICS

We did have a problem with our 00 GC, I think it was the shaft position sensor... not sure. The sensor repair cost about 300 bucks.

the truth
thanks for these posts
any attempt to help is appreciated.the real problem was qiute different the stupid electronic had misguided me - the oil pressure detector was "O.K.", but there wasn`t any oil pressure - oil pump was dead, leading the whole transmission to the hell it was 73K km...so: new oil pump, new torque converter, new clutching kit - approx. 2500$, another 350$ to the mechanic... the question to the electronics is: why this wasn`t prevented.... anyway this was the first and the last Jeep I`ve ever owned ![]() I`ll continue to buy only Mercedes, biult until 1995
