Engine Bog's

This has been happening worse as time goes on. When my Camaro is stopped at a light and you try going in 1st gear it bogs down to about 600 rpms sits there for about 2 seconds then goes back up. I can drop it at 3 or 4 grand and it still bogs down... This is only in 1st gear though, the headlights will dim so they are almost out then come back on as the motor revs up. I have heard this sometimes can be a low battery... Any suggestions

hows ur alternator voltage?? do u have any sort of subs/amps??

Check my signature, I will check the voltage though and see how that is. I still have the stock altenator but I will be upgrading to a better one.

2000 amps..that might be the reason why ur car is killing itself at stop lights and such...just a guess tho..

Do you have capacitors? (Big "batteries" that hold charge for your amps to hit off of)
If you dont, I can almost guarentee you that is your problem.
Basically with car stereos each 'thump' with a sub and such takes a huge amount of juice. If you have capacitors, they dont affect your car cause your alternator is consistantly putting electricity into them. If you dont.. Then your alternator is working triple time to work your car and your system.
Get one asap. Might want to replace your alternator too cause it might be on its last legs.

You *should* be able to run a stock alternator just fine with capacitors.

Well you should really see the face of a Honda owner who's system is going when you are stopped at a light, then you turn up your system and they can no longer hear their stereo.
Yeah I didn't have enough money for a cap so I haven't gotten one yet. I had ask about caps in the audio section and they said they are usally worthless. I "was" saving for a high output alt. I guess i'll be getting that and a Optima yellow top. Thanks for the help
