Question port and polished head

just bought a inlinefour.com port and polished head with multi angle valve job with brand new honda valves, retainers, springs. with 35 thousands milled. with just that what kind of tq gains can i expect? Stock cams for now. I have been told that the milling will raise my compression from 9.5 to 1 up to 10 to 1 is that true? i have an ls integra.

Re: port and polished head

comon ppl. if this was the crx/civic thread mad ppl would have replied and knew what they were talkin about. since its not a standard crx motor and this is a stock motor in the tegs you ppl should know alil bout this subject. and dont hate just cuz of his name. does that mean that us in the crx in the threads have more knowledge about cars??? mmmmm i wonder.

slow_99integra maybe you should move this to the crx threads. there are some ppl in there that have b18s and work on b18s. i dont know shit about it but i only have d16.

maybe this will get some replies. holla.

i demand some replies for his question.

If you represent anyone in that forum with grammar like that, then how do you expect anybody to think you have more knowledge?
Also how about this: Not knowing any of the specs of the port job and not knowing the thickness of the headgasket he is using I can determine about nothing. Also there are even more factors that are not here like new rings, old rings, compression numbers, tuning, etc etc. All those factors will determine what the TQ output of the motor is.

Oh, and last but not least please don't ever demand anything in my forum again!

it is a three angle valve job milled 35 thousands which will bring my compression to 9.9 to 1 with stock head gasket. the rings have 35xxx miles in them. i have been told to expect about 20 whp but no one seems to know about tq. no one represents me i represent myself. no hostility in the thread I start, please.

Do you have any kind of numbers from a flow bench by chance? If it is a good P&P job then you should see nice gains with a nice power band. However if the port job was not done correctly you will end up with a narrow power band. To be honest with you about the TQ the only way to dramatically increase it would be FI. In N/A form your motor will more than likely never see anything over 140-150lb-ft (at the flywheel, not the wheels). Which would be an increase of about 16-26lb-ft. I however could be wrong but don't expect to see big tq number changes with the setup you have now. Look around for a B20Z block and put your head on it with some Crower 62404 cams, then tune it with an safc or s100 hondata and you will have a nice setup there.

No I don't own this forum, but the person who owns the whole forum appointed me to moderate this forum for him.

Ok let me explain "my forum" to you; "my forum" means the forum I moderate, the forum I have control over and the forum that I regulate. That means that if you are asked not to do something in this forum by me, then you have 3 choices: 1.) don't do what I asked you not to. 2.) just stop posting in this forum if you can't handle the refrain from demanding things or 3.) do it anyway and be removed from the message board all together. I would like to see you stick around, but only if you are going to be helpful and not act like you were. If you were so conserned about his question being answered then why didn't you do a little searching and answer the question yourself? You would have learned something new at the same time too.

Re: port and polished head

well dammm.....i learnt somin. i was wonderin how the hell ppl become moderators. (im not tryin to be one of course) and i was thinkin about doin the research but then i realized that slow_99integra has a lot more time on the computer than i do and if he had to post a thread on it, that means that he cant find nething about it online. so its left in the hands of the ppl who know about PP heads. its all good tho. my demand didnt turn out how i wanted it to. i was hopin that i would get shit started up and have ppl look at this thread cuz there were a lot of replies and then once they see what it was then maybe they would know a lil about the subject and be helpful. i didnt expect it to be just us 3. my plan was shit. its all good tho and i hope you didnt have ne hard feelings cuz i know i never did.

off the record...what you got done to ur car and what motor do you have? i see 14.4 in ur sig....peace.

Re: port and polished head

My car is an LS with the basic i/h/e and a 50 shot. The 14.4 time was on a 55 shot with a 60' time of 2.555. I tried a 75 and got a 14.6 track was cold for both runs as it was the end of the season (Nov.) and traction was just not there. I plan on going back this season and turning out some mid to high 13's. I still have a lot of parts that I have had no time to out on yet along with some sticky tires on steelies just for the drag strip.

LOUDCRXSi: There are no hard feelings, but please do not try to start trouble on purpose in this forum.
