Major problems with Headers..PLease Help
Ok.. I have a 1/2ton, 4x4,1986 Chevy k10 and I have 72' 454 engine in it and I had some headers on it that were bought for the engine year, not the body year. Well because I did that, my front driveshaft had to be replaced today, and I have some hedman headers on order for the 86' body but for a 454 engine. Would this fit right(because my older right header always hit the driveshaft and it was most likely because it was the bought for the engine year and not the body year). If not then I really really need to find some shorty headers for this truck.
1986 Chevy 1/2ton 454 4wd- if any of you can find anything please let me know.. Thank you

Re: Major problems with Headers..PLease Help
If the headers were designed for a 4x4, 86 with a big block...they should fit.

Re: Major problems with Headers..PLease Help
Just lift it a few inches, and put a transfer case drop on it

Re: Major problems with Headers..PLease Help
Bad68chev is right, the 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive headers are completely different, you probably had 2wd headers that hit.
