please don't put huge rims on an evo...please?! Huge rims are heavy, and the evo is a performance car. Not something you should turn into a low rider... and where in texas are you? if you're in houston, I have GOT to see your car.

We are advised against putting up 18" rims. On heavy driving they do interfere with the wheelarches. When changing to more pro suspension setup (using either Reiger or Proflex shocks) 18" is a definite no - no.

So I stick with my 17" comopotive white rally wheels.

I guess its like any other small 4 door...its all about personal preference.
I always prefer 10's they are more precise.

k, thats cool. WEll, my own personal preference is 10 inch alpine type s subs. I love the way those sound. If money is no object, I would HIGHLY suggest one of the new jl W7s. Those subs ROCK!!!! 17 inch rims is probably the max size you should go. It would be POSSIBLE to put like, 22 inch blades on it, but if you do that I'm going to pull you out of your car and run you over multiple times...jk. I'll only be going 16 when I get my evo, and I'll be going with a mild system. Just 1 10 inch. I dont need any more extra wieght than that, and the sound should be pretty good.

BlackevoLancer,
You are only 15? Keep dreaming and go buy a civic to make your first "riced" out car! How do you plan on buying a $30,000 car? Remember your insurance would also be a good $300 a month.

You all are a bunch of fools

First off, who would put subs in a Evo? It is a relativly lightweight performance car, not a rice rocket (although it could qualify as that). If you want to put subs in the back of your compact, buy a IS300 or something else, but not an Evo. Hopefully while driving such a fast car you would be more worried with the road and not the bass. Second, violinandy, if you are turning 16 and you expect your first car to be an Evo, I hope someone or something will change your mind before I meet you on the road. Do you really think with no driving experience that you can enjoy/handle this car?

Just because Blackevolancer is only 15 doesnt mean that he cant have a 30k car. Its all a out if the family is willing to buy it for them. I live in Los Angeles and I know alot of my friends has cars that range from 10k to 60k. When my brother was 17 my pops bought him a 1998 BMW 540I which cost him 59k. So dont think cause they young they cant get one, its how much the parents have and how much the kids kiss ass to them But anyways my EVO VII should be in my garage by next week

Nope, speakers and cables all came from my previous car and installed by my brother who also happened to be the dealer who sold it to me.

Sound system to me doesn't rank as a very high priority.

Tell me when you get the car so we can meet up.
