factory radio questions
I have a 95 aurora with a tape player i would like to put in a aftermarket cd player in it i know i would loose the steering wheel volume control but would my fan and temp buttons still work? oh and does the date really get messed up too? i noticed someone said keep factory radio connected and put in cavern under dash, so how would i hook up my aftermarket cd player? please help i am sick of the radio

You will also lose the fan controls. You can buy an adapter that allows you to keep the fan controls ,but its like $80.
mine never lost the date when I put in an aftermarket I dont think. And I was told that as well. But honestly i dont think I ever even wanted to check the date in my car since ive owned it for like 4 years now. So who cares about the date, lol

the date stays, but the eta/ete and anything else that requrie time won't work.
