1996 STOCK Stealth TT Runs 13.01!???!!
I read on another forum that a 1996 Stealth r/t TT STOCK ran a 13.01, becuase it was the lightest 3S car ever made? Is that true do you guys believe that??

I'm not completely sure but any stock vr4 should run mid 13's (with .2 or .3 variation) or so right?
I've never heard of that happening and I seriously don't think the 96 dodge stealth tt was any different from any of the other 2g 3000gt's/stealths but I could be wrong. |

It was with an amazing driver and probably a freak from the factory...it was the best time a stock TT has ever run, it doesn't mean that any stock RT/TT or vr4 will run that, most run 13.5-14.1 depending on year.

Probaly boost controller and great driver, dunno if they consider raising the boost to stock limits a mod though.

The car is stock.
I've met the guy a few times at some local gatherings here in MI. He had a fantastic launch and perfect shifts. He's got the timeslip so there's no mistaking that he did it. Not only that, buts its one of the rare Sandstone Gray RT/TTs out there. To bad its not more typical for our cars, but there are factory freaks out there of every model.

car wieghs less than ours also, about 120lbs less if i'm correct
so a 13.01 sounds reasonable not much different from a mr i beleive

My car is a factory freak SL i ran a 14.8 with just an intake, timed with an acutrack. but that was below sea level with the wind at my back lol. i live right on the gulf coast

A car that runs realy well due to cumulative random little differnces in the engine, maybe somone who worked there was bored and decided to have some fun with it... or the parts just happend to match up perfectly due to the tiny inherent differences in any part made. Basically its a better than average car.

I'm up in Petoskey. Do you go to any of the local gatherings down your way? I haven't gone in a couple years, but there are a lot of guys down there. Stop in http://www.mi3si.org/ and see whats coming up. I know once in awhile, they get together and go to the Milan strip.
And, if you didn't know already, the national gathering is in St. Joes this year. They've got a day set up for a strip over there too. I expect to see a few more 10 second runs this year by some of the top performers

Sweet. I live in the condos behind Victories Casino. I missed the car show last year because I was out of town. When you're up in the summer, when you see a Spyder go by, that'll be me.
