installing 4wd?

hey guys... im buying a 2wd 5spd gmc sierra std cab short bed from my uncle... and i was just wondering if it would be possible for me to put a transfer case in it and the half shafts and such in the front end and the other stuff like the range selector knob and stuff from another similar truck thats 4x4 to make mine 4wd? oh yea forgot to mention, its a 1997. just curious. thanks!

My thoughts would be to trade it on a 4x4. A trade might even be cheaper and it sure would take less time.

cant trade it... my mom made an agreement that she would loan me the money for it if i agreed not to sell it for quite a while... and wen i do sell it im definately getting another prelude like mine, only its gonna have the b20a5 motor not the sucky b21a1 that the one i have has in it... cuz they throw rods really easy. thanks tho... just wondered if its possible and if so what would i ahve to do to do it.
