iPod in tacoma
Has anyone heard for this web site www.mp3yourcar.com ? It looks like they make something so you can have an iPod in your car.

Go to walmart. I think I saw something there that you could hook your ipod up to your car/truck w/.

Yeah, you can buy an attachment that broadcasts your iPod to your FM radio. One of my friends has one, and he used it last weekend in my truck. All he did was attach the thing to the top of his iPod and tuned my radio to station 88.1. He says it has a broadcast range of 30 ft, and sometimes the antenna attachment gets a little cranky.
It sure was nice to have hours of music without a stack of tapes or CDs. |

I used the following on my 2005 tacoma
Alpine CDA-9853
Alpine KCA - Ipod Controller You can check it out at www.cardomain.com/id/robsatx The FM stuff does not sound very good. All of MP3 is better but you have to create playlists. The alpine lets you control the IPOD like you have your hands on the IPOD. It is really cool. |

I have an Alpine radio/CD radio installed. The Alpine is configured to accept an IPOD. We spent 6.5 hrs in the car today and never heard the same song twice. The IPOD is wired directly into the radio. The IPOD menu is shown on the radio screen, although a little cryptic. The radio has a lttle harness that connects to the IPOD. I let the IPOD sit in the cup holder. It is a great solution.
