M3 Trouble

I was driving around and all of a sudden my car just loses power and I push the gas and nothing happens. so I pull over and turn off the car then turn it back on and it works just fine, but it does it here and there what could be causing this to happen.

Sounds like a problem I had with the oxygen sensor in my '02 M3. It came and went intermittently and of cousre BMW Service could never find it when I complained, cause the ECU rebooted everytime the car shut off. You might try to have your service people check it.
