Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: how does the SL handle?

I havent gotten a chance to drive a VR4 very much (yet) but the SL was fun for me except around tight fast turns somtimes I would get wheel hop. It accelerates with better traction than my mom's sienna but then again the sienna tires are thin and it has a bit more power I think. They'll both hold a good edge around turns but the SL won't be able to accelerate out of the turn as fast.

Re: how does the SL handle?

You must have had an automatic Thorun? If the SL is an auto, then i'd go w/ the TT. I like the handling of my 94 SL around turns, i'd compare it to being as good as my 92 Integra was for tight turn handling. But i'd test drive both first, if the TT seems good, then i'd definitely go with it over the SL anyday.

Re: how does the SL handle?

as igovert500 said, drive them yourself and you make the decision.
i think thourun is about right, going into corners at a faster speed it might get a little jumpy on you.
but at the same time, i've only driven 2 sl's and i didnt do too much cornering so

thourun tends to have an unbiased opinion, which is a good thing, so take into consideration of what was said, go drive them yourself and then make your decision

i can tell you its a smooth ride

Re: how does the SL handle?

Also remember that every car is differnt since the parts wear differently because of the different lives the car's have lead. Go drive them and you'll get a better understanding than anyone here could impart on you with words.
