Electric fuel pump for carbed 2.8L
I traded a transmission for a re-built 2.8L that had a TBI on it and I want to add a carburator instead. The rear main seal is brand new, so I know the bottom end has been re-built and I would like to use this motor in the future. I started to remove all the accessories off it to clean and re-paint before it goes on under the bench as a spare and found that there is no way to put a mechanical fuel pump on the engine (no hole for camshaft driven pump !!).
Can I use an aftermarket electric fuel pump or how about a inside the gas tank electric fuel pump?
