timing belt replacement
I have a 93 honda civic that I would like to replace the timing belt myself. I don't have enough money to take to the shop. Does anybody know of a site that details how to do this or any documentation that they could share? I have the book that I got from the auto store but its not detailed enough. The dealers book was too much. Please help thanks

Re: timing belt replacement
Do a search here. There are many threads that tell you how to do it. I would buy a shop manual as well. It is easy to do. Plan about 3 to 5 hours. You might replace the water pump to, since that is attached to the timing belt.

Re: timing belt replacement
$100 for the shop manual is worth the money. Timing belt replacement ~$300
Valve adjustment ~$200 Distributor issues with Timing adjustment ~$300 Do the math and within the first PM (preventive maintenance) the book is paid for. ~ |
