Thumbs down 2001 Sunfire stalls_will not start

Wife drove to work and car stalled after loosing power. I checked vitles and engines tries to start and will start with starting fluid. I replaced fuel filter and hear the pump working... took the fuel line off the manifold pressure regulator and had no fuel, so back to the filter and had no fuel. I tested the fuel pump to only hear it running but no fuel. Is it possible for pump impleller to go? [color=darkorange]
Can anyone detail what the Sensors; Map, ERG do?

[color=navy]After dropping fuel tank and looking at fuel pump... I noticed the pump would cavitate due to poor check value / siphon design. I called the techs at Master/ Airtek to comfirm design and modified.
The pump is fine and tank cleaned in the process of saving $200.
