your profile says you are in Michigan. Canada! SO if it's canada go to crappy tire and get an eliminator power inverter, you wont need to get anothery battery at all just get about a 400w one for about $60 CDN. you just plug it into it with the std plug and the inverter goes into your cigar lighter or you can wire it in an switched feed, the switched ffed for the stereo pssiblt or even the wiper fuse!

im about to do the exact same install im trying to not have a power inverter because i think there retarded adn i know i would be unplugging it from my power source and out which would just be annoying and since im putting it in my trunk im just going to go with the new battery. im also running a 7.5 inch lcd moniter off of it.

they use AC (alternating current) and not the DC (direct Current) that a battery supplies, that's part of what an inverter does!

Cut a hole in the glovebox and then upholster the inside of it to dampen any vibration! Run the cables under the dash!

Re: playstation install

I have a 98 Cavy and I put my PS2 in my glove compartment to. I reupholstered it with some thin carpet and spray adhesive. I then ran wires under the dash and mounted my power converter in the space between the driver side and the passenger side and just in front of the bottom of my console. I then ran theose to my interior accesories fuse. Score easy as can be!
