Rear door lifts question
The rear door (the back side of the vehicle, not the passenger doors) on my 97 Cherokee has "hydraulic lifters" to make it stay open. When it's cold outside, the lifters don't want to stay up,,at least not until it seems like enough air has traveled into the pump, or something...I am just guessing because I don't know how these lifters are supposed to work.
When it's warm or hot outside, the lifters work properly. Do they need to be replaced? Also, what is the proper name for these hydraulic type lifters that raise and hold the rear door up? |

Re: Re: Rear door lifts question
yes, need to change soon. Mine hit me on the head a few times before I finally did. Very simplle but my 94 was $21 a side. Make sure the piston is right side up.

I need to replace mine also - Is that $21 price for a cartridge inside or the whole assembly ?
