Seeking Opinions on 04 Classic with 2.2L ecotec

A local dealer has a 2004 Chevy Classic (old malibu) with 24k miles for $8500. Has all the power options and CD. Looks to be in very good shape, but I have not driven yet.

I've heard the 2.2L ecotec is a good engine.

Anyone car to share any thoughts??

It would be for my sister. She's been driving a base v8 84 Camaro she's had since 86...so her expectations are not very high in terms of fit/finish. I think she'll just be tickled to have a CD player and to get more than 17MPG and front wheel drive in the winter. I assume the 2.2L will get at least 30mpg on the highway.
