I agree on the motor swap. But if you are just trying to get it running for now I may be able to help. When you turn the key does it crank? or is the motor locked?

Re: Need Advice

Passed water to the oil?

Could you clarify/elaborate on that?

Re: Need Advice

to solve your water problem change the head gasket but that isnt gonna fix your engin not starting what you should do first is check for spark or check the fuel pump.
i still think you should just get a new engine though

get ahold of a compression tester, i bought one at sears for like 20 bucks, and it works great. you should be able to get one at any local autozone or napa or some other autoparts store. its a handy thing to have i've come to realize. anyway, check your compression in each cylender and if they are below 100 psi or so, then put a teaspoon of oil into one cylender at a time, and then put the compression tester on that cylender, and crank it over 5 or 10 times and see if the pressure went up at all. if it went up a lot, then its most likely not gonna be worth fixing unless you wanna actually rebuild the motor to put new rings and stuff in it, cuz if the compression reading goes up a lot (like 15 psi or more increase) after pouring that lil bit of oil into the cylender, then it indicates bad piston rings. if it doesnt change the compression reading at all, however, or if it only increases it by like a couple psi at most, then its most likely the head gasket needs replacement, just like the other guys here have already mentioned. my 91 prelude burns quite a bit of oil (and leaks an ungodly amount more too) and without adding any oil into the top of the cylender, the dry compression reading is currently about 155 psi, which is pretty good when you think about how hard ive pushed that motor plus it has 192k on it and a knocking rod, heh. i guess ill shut up now... i just thought id mention the compression testing thingie. peace!
