Unhappy anti lock brakes skid

need answer to anti lock on vehicle,if others have same problem.
2004 legacy sedan auto
anti lock brakes way too sensitive,lock up wheels almost every time on snow/ice,blows thru stops
dealer says working per subaru specs. not

IMO ABS blows, no matter the vehicle. Its crappy for braking, and only really useful for keeping yoru vehicle straight and turning. It is overly sensitive on some Subarus though.

Your best bet is to learn threshold braking, or just to slow down, and get a GOOD set of tires (All seasons, especially the stock RE92's are not good winter tires).

Although I dont suggest it, there is a fuse somewhere to disable the ABS. look in the owners manual, or in some of the fuse boxes.
