Front End Noise

We have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer LT, with 88,000 miles. For the past several months, we have noticed a knocking sound in the front end, when we hit a bump. I'm thinking it needs new shocks, but I'd like to know if anybody has any other theories. I just priced new shocks (struts for the front), and it's going to be about $600. If anybody has any ideas, I'd appreciate the help! Thanks!

Quick solution if you can't get into the dealership right away....goto your nearest Midas or a Car X or something like that & have them take a look at the underside. See if they can find anything & if so, just how bad is it & if it is safe to continue driving.......
It is hard to say what it is unless I was able to drive it or do a ride along.

Re: Front End Noise

Thanks for the quick answer! We live in a fairly small town, but I've got a guy that's pretty good with cars. I'll take it to him, and have him take a look. Appreciate the help! Tom

Re: Front End Noise

Had a similar problem. Ended up replacing the front swaybar bushings and end-links. Completely silent now...
