I have similar problem. as this posting
It started last week about the same time I changed the brakes pads. I started hearing a loud humming/moaning noise from the front of the truck. The diffrence is: 1)It only happens when im going slower than 40k 2)It comes and goes. Some days i won't even hear it... 3)When i apply the brakes the noise stops. I have checked the brakes and everything seems fine. I am assuming it's the bearings.. But I wanted to get some advice from the pro's in this forum? any help would be great!

Re: re: Blazer loud humming noise
Yip, sounds like bearing or a dry CV joint.

Re: re: Blazer loud humming noise
I have had my CV joints, brakes/rotors and wheel bearings inspected by my mechanic and he says there in great condition.
I tried my best to explain the problem to him and we even took the blazer for a spin trying to make the noise. Of course it didn't happen at the time, but today I noticed it moan again. So now I'm out of ideas and don't know what to check from here. ![]() ideas??__________________
