yes, that swap can be done. i hardly see that anywhere though too so props to you! If i were you, i would get a 90-91 CRX Si transmission and slap it on the y8. If your planning on using your transmission, then yes, you can use your clutch.

the y8 swap has been done so many times its not even funny.

if the y8 motor came with a clutch and flywheel and its in better condition then your 90 clutch then use the y8 clutch. if your 90 clutch is in better condition then use your 90 clutch and flywheel. jsut remember whatever year clutch you use, you should use the same flywheel

Re: i got to put a new motor in but can it be dun check this one

pretty much anywhere you find parts for b series, you can find them for d series. d series is popular too. the y8 has a few more hp than the z6 and aobut 30 less than the 160hp b16. the d15b2 is rated at 92hp the y8 is 127 i believe. so its almost a 35hp jump so you should feel that.

also wtf is a stage 1 light weight. someones been playing too much gran turismo.

props to all who gut their car, i prefer to have a full interior and go faster with it. Race cars dont impress me. Full street cars impress me.

yeah i have the 4dooor dx and i hate 4door cars but i like to get reckless ticket's and i can only handle 4 door insurance. soo i take everything out soo its only a 2 seater plus its a light car to start with and i like to go as fast as you can. im going to try to get around 160 out of the d16y8 thats all i really want out of it.
