Re: CatBack Systems

you know what, you shouldnt run any exaust or headers. you'll gain like, so much horse power you'll have to get a really big wing on the back of your car. and the best part of all- it will be loud and cool!

OK, just a question...prolly a stupid one, but am curious if anyone else has encountered this problem. I got my car used and during an oil change I noticed a huge dent in my rear header heat shield. I took the shield off and the down section of the header had a MASSIVE dent in it...i dont know what the hell the person hit to put it there, but was curious if any of you guys have had that problem. I need to get that shit fixed because it makes this funny whisteling noise (and not a cool one) whenever i get on it.

Also, you dont need to get a header regardless of what CatBack system you are running.

Also, does anyone know what kind of HP gain would be achieved by cutting your cat off? I just dont like the smell and I dont live in Cali so I dont care about emissions...also i want the car to be as loud as it can be...lol

Re: CatBack Systems

no problem such as yours....yet. my car is back in the states, ill check on it in a few weeks when i get home. the previous owner most likely was a chick and she grounded that biatch out. probably on a "rock" or something made of concrete. a large dent may thwart your exhaust flow, causing performance loss. but that cool whisteling sound makes the other cars think you have a turbo!

yeah, i like gained so much horsepower when i eliminated my cats altogethter. come to think of it, i dont have any. btw, anyone know the company in australia that make the twin turbo v6 'clipse? im a hop skip and jump away, and maybe with a little luck i can get 'ma grandparents to take me there.

this sounds like a perfect time to go buy aftermarket headers. the downpipe from the headers will replace all the cats.

Tyrone....i think the company you are talking about is RPW. http://www.rpw.com.au/ ... they have a twin turbo kit for this engine but i dont know if its forsale. you could check it out though

Re: CatBack Systems

seeing as to how we are relaying these posts back and forth, its hard for any of us to tell you howloud an exhaust will be. your best bet is to just get the exhaust "tip" a quality greddy evo like mine. leave your piping alone and your header alone. i
