Re: change oil light
well, your ? is not very specific. Change the oil, and have dealer reset the light if the oil change light doesn't turn off after the change.

Re: change oil light
well, he did change the oil and couldn't turn off the light. He said he needed the manual which I no longer have. I have turned it off as of today but now the check engine light is on. runs fine but sending codes for low oil pressure and oil pressure is fine. I was told to continue to run the heck outta it. I don't trust that.

Re: change oil light
that's a load of crap that the dealer doesn't have the needed manuals!!!!!!!!!!!! He can access everything through GM for as far back as the mid-70's.

Re: change oil light
I turned my light off when it didnt turn off itself after the oil change. on the driver side there is a lil' panel take that off you will see a lil' reset button turn your ignition on but not the car completely on push that reset button until the light blinks it will then shut off . then turn your car on. I hope i help you. cause i know it is annoying.
