Leak coming from my firewall
Hi gang,
I have a 98 Taurus Wagon SE. This evening I noticed a small clear puddle on the garage floor. Popped the hood and found a small drip coming from the passenger side firewall just slightly to the left and below the heater core inlet/outlets. Please take a look at the picture. What is this? Is it part of the heater core? I suspected antifreeze, so I mopped it up and gave it a whiff. The verdict is indeterminate. There was not a strong antifreeze smell -- could it be water? There is a very small but constant drip onto the CV boot and then onto the floor. I recently changed my coolant and flushed the heater core. I wonder if it's a coincidence... Any ideas are appreciated, even identifying what this little outlet is would be helpful. |
