Fuel System Boost?

What can be done to the fuel system to increase hp? Electic fuel pumps, fuel regulator, Fuel injectors, etc.? I've been doing some searching and I was noticing the relatively cheap prices on fuel system items that claim to increase hp/trq. What could you more experienced cav. enthusiasts tell me about this topic?

Re: Fuel System Boost?

your stock fuel setup is fine unless your running some kind of boost for FI. Putting bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, fuel rails, all that will do nothing if you cant get the air into the engine. In order to have a powerful engine you need fuel and air. To much fuel and you lose power, to much air and you lose power. It has to be a pretty specific ratio of fuel to air to get the max HP. Lucky for us GM did all the research ahead of time.

In other words, leave your stock fuel system untill you have some kind of forced induction.

Re: Fuel System Boost?

3 mains types of forced induction, supercharger which is belt powered, turbocharger which is powered by exhaust gases, and N20 which is a compressed gas thats sprayed into the engine.
