8 ga vs 4 ga for each amp
Hey, What is the rule of thumb for choosing if to power each amp usin an 8 ga or a 4 ga power cable?
Im doing 4 ga to fused distribution block to 8ga to both amps (Tantrum 500.2 for components and Power Acoustik 520 (250rms) for atlas 15) Does that sound sufficient? Thanks, tom |

Re: 8 ga vs 4 ga for each amp
yep. Kinda depends on how long the 8 gauge wire is but I'm sure it's just fine. Probably like 2-4 foot of 8 gauge per amp right? It'll work splendedly

Re: 8 ga vs 4 ga for each amp
The bigger the better but anything bigger then 4awg for that amp would be overkill.
