manual trans conversion

my trans is automatic, im replacing my engine(94 eclipse 4g63 ) right now so while its out can i replace my auto with a 5 speed? how hard will this be ? what all will i need ? this is just a n/t daily driver(mostly) is it to much trouble.

that should help since you have a 1g. it is easier (longer) to just buy a manual. And sell your car. But hey thats just me....it is your car

ITs a lot of work but I've done it (helped do it). I personally probably wouldnt bother. But dont let that deter you. And who knows, 1g may be easier. I know the clutch pedal assembly is a huge pain in the mudflaps, so I might have to take that back... Either wya, good luck.
