Eibach: Sportline or Prokit?

Can anyone tell from my pic (estimate of course) how much lower my car is from the factory height? The car was lowered by my bro and then cut those springs but I want to know which kit to buy so I can get a basic picture of how much lower the car will be.

For ex.: If the car is lowered like an inch right now then I would get the prokit most likely, but if the car is only like 1/2 inch lower than I would get the sportline.

I just dont want the car to be slammed too much cuz speed bumps already give me enough of a problem.

Or, is there anyway to actually find out? Like measure top of wheel to fender type of thing? If so, does anyone know what the stock height is with stock size tires, 195-60-15.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Eibach: Sportline or Prokit?

Tell me if you guys think this would be accurate. I found out that the factory height of my car was 50.8". WOuld I just be able to measure the current height of the car with like measuring tape and dtermine how low the car is now. Like if I measure it and the car is like 49" then its already been lowered like 1.8". You think that would be accurate enough or do you guys know what else, if anything, can be done?

Re: Eibach: Sportline or Prokit?

I don’t think it would be that accurate. It will be hard to measure from the top of the car to the ground. If your buying a kit they should tell you how low the car will be from stock. Some will even give the ride height from the ground. My guess would be though judging from the pic that it wont be too much lower then your car already is now.

Re: Eibach: Sportline or Prokit?

I already know that the sportline drops 2.2" in front and 2.1" in back, while pro-kit drops 1.8" in front and 1.6" in back. Just trying to get an idea of how low car currently is.

Re: Eibach: Sportline or Prokit?

Ok looking at your car and stock 240s I would say your car is proabably about the height of the pro-kit. If you want something lower then what you have get the sportline.

Edit: Get us a side picture so someone can photo shop it

the way you measure how much a car is dropped is by taking a tape measure and measure from either the top of the rim or hte center of the rim to the fender.

Re: Eibach: Sportline or Prokit?

going off the top of my head... stock s13 tire gaps are bigger than the gaps of 5 cent whores down hotel st.

it's probably more than 2" from the top of the wheel to the fender... i don't know why they made it like that in the first place... it's nasty.

Re: Eibach: Sportline or Prokit?

why dont you just look at cars that already have sportlines or prokits on them to see what you like more.. the prokit basically doesn't make the front end look like is up in the air so much and lowers it a little. the sportlines lower it more obviously. i'd say get the sportlines, imo they look better.
