Accessory Power Socket
The socket on the dash is loose and falling out. It works fine but appears to need to be tightened up. I took the ash tray out but still do not have the room to get in behind the socket to see if I can tighten it. It feels like there is something in the back that goes over the socket to hold it in place. I have the standard shift so I guess I need to know how I can gain access to that area. If I could get the tray beneath the ash tray that might help but I cannot see how to get that tray out. Thanks for any help.

Re: Accessory Power Socket
The front accessory outlet in my 2001 cr-v came loose and was hanging. I took out the ashtray and cup holder and managed to twist the metal case back around the socket.

Re: Accessory Power Socket
I am having the same problem in my 1997 CR-V. I found a way to get at the Power Socket but would like your suggestions. Also, once I tighten the barrel around the outlet body it comes loose again. Do you use loctite or something?

Re: Accessory Power Socket
I didn't use anything to keep it tight. I just made sure it was good and tight and it has been fine ever since I tightened it up. Sorry.
