Jbody no more?

I was thinking, and as much as I LOVE J-bodies, I think I want something I can do a little more with. Sure a J-body is good, but do I want to dump my money into a car that I will max at 260 horse? I can make a fast Grand-Am or Eclipse/Talon. I can sell my Jbody for 3x more than I bought it for and be realy happy with that deal.
I really want a car that I can make to keep up with my cousin, and a J-body can never do that.

Give me some suggestions.

If I do sell my J-body I will still drop in for some chat and maybe offer some of the advice i actually have on electronics.

Re: Jbody no more?

I picked my j-body because it's something people don't expect to have some quickness to it. Everyone usually goes honda or acura or you know the deal. The J-body to me is a break from the mold. True if you want super high horsepowered car, a j-body isn't quite the way to go, but it's something different from the norm to me at least.

Re: Jbody no more?

I decided to keep the J and not do everything I thought I would. I will just buy a second car this summer.

Re: Jbody no more?

I didn't know what I wanted when I got back to Canada in Oct. I wanted to avoid a domestic. I was really into getting a VW Passat G60 Synchro! 1.8 Supercharged and AWD!!!! How sick! but only 300 were made and they were very hard to find!
170hp std and that could easily be upped! I almost got a g60 Synchro wagon! Ultimate sleeper! Was considereing Golf Gti's etc I looked at a talon a 95 but it was fooked! the inner fenders were shot! I left after loking at for 2 mins! VW were out in front and then a local dealer got this nice red Zed in and I looked at it, drove it, scared that sales guy and fell in Love! If you want speed for not much dough then maybe you should think lightweight!

Re: Jbody no more?

If you love something you let it go. if it comes back it's yours, if it doesn't it wasn't meant to be >.> Personally I like my little domestic.
