fold down seats?!

i need to know how to fold down my back seats in my malibu. we bought it used and dont have the owners manual. we've tried a lot. but we cant figure it out! whats up? someone helppppp pleaseeeee =)

Make sure your model folds down. My '03 Malibu doesn't come with fold down seats.

If it does have split folding seats, open the trunk. Where the rear speakers are, towards the drivers side at the opening of the trunk, there should be two black straps hanging. Pull those to release the seats. For some reason on mine after i pull the straps i have to reach in the trunk and give the seat back a good punch and it will fold down.
There is no way to fold the seats from inside the vehicle. I believe it sis a safety feature so kids playing in the car can't crawl into the trunk and get trapped. Pain in the ass if you ask me.

can you add folding seats if your malibu doesn't include them? I want a cheap way to have my back seat(s) fold down. Can anyone help?
