Question 97 Mirage Ls Coupe Problems Please Help

So I have a 1.8 mirage LS coupe. The problem I am having is as fallows. The car for the most part will not start when it is cold outside. On rare occasions it does start. It will turn over but it just will not kick. This problem seemed to start after I replaced the head gasket. I replaced the head gasket at the begining of the summer so it's hard to tell if that's what caused the problem. The car ran fine all summer but when it started getting cold the car just went to heck. Does anyone have any ideas. This have been going on for about 3 years now and I want to turn this car into something really specail. Please help.

mirage problem

My daughter has a similar problem with her 02 1.8. It just doesn't want to run very well in cold weather. Once hers is warmed up it seems ok. If I find out anything ,I'll let you know. Good luck, TomF
