94 Escort Stall's every AM

1994 Escort 1.9 EFI 119k miles on it.

Every morning on the way to work the car dies. It will die if I'm going 50 mph or sitting at a light. It dies after about 4-5 miles of driving (20 miles to work). It starts back up about 30 sec's to a min later and drives fine the rest of the way to work. Head was rebuilt 8k miles ago, and has run good ever since. Only other symptons I can report are heater doesnt seem to get real hot, and it does have a slight rough idle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, It has never died in the evening on the way home from work, so this really frustrates me. No check engine light, been scanned for codes no codes, and fuel pressure is fine even while the car wont start.

Ok, I had checked the ignition switch per the TSB that is out, and it appears good, also has the updated spacer installed. As far as the ignition module, Kinda hard to test since the no start condition is only 30 sec's to 1 min but, this should set off a code if there is a fault there shouldnt it?

The plugs and wires were changed last week.

Update.... This has completly boggled my mind, so I started trying to eliminate vacuum. I disconnected the egr vacuum, and plugged it, and disconnect the vacuum line for the air duct doors for the heater. On the way into work today, the car did not die, first time in over a month. I'm leaning towards plugging the egr back in and testing tomorrow with the other line still plugged, as the heater didnt seem to get very hot, am wondering if I'm loosing alot of vacuum there. I still have no clue, but will let you all know how it goes. Any other suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated.

Ok, reply just in case anyone else runs into this situation. Seems it didnt have anything to do with AM driving other than the fact that I was running the heater. I disconnected the the vacuum going to the air ducts in dash, and plugged it, have not had problem since, I still havent torn apart the dash to figure out exactly where it is, but that seems to be the cause of my problem. Hope this helps anyone else out at some point.
