Front Spring/Rear Block lift for 86 chevy
I was offered 2 4" front springs and 2 4" rear blocks, I dont think they come with U-Bolts but they only want 150.00 for it. When i do install a lift kit on this 1/2ton 4x4 chevy will I need any extra neccessities? I know right now that i need a steering arm and 4 brand new shocks but the person who owns ABSpring said that i didnt need a brake hose add just for a 4" lift.
please respond.. total for everything shocks, lift, and steering arm is 397.12 with tax. Is that a good price for it?

Re: Front Spring/Rear Block lift for 86 chevy
It's an OK price. I'd expect it to come with U bolts tho. Blocks are a bad way to lift it, you'd be much better off going with 4" springs on all four corners. Blocks can cause the springs to twist too much, affecting your driveshaft angle. I heard that someone supposedly lost their rear axle because they lifted it with 6" blocks. Don't know if that extreme is true, but it does seem plausable..

Re: Front Spring/Rear Block lift for 86 chevy
Ive Got 2" Blocks With A 2" Lift Spring For A Total Of 4" Lift For The Rear...works Fine...u Can Have A Shop Make U Some U Bolts For Cheap...but If I Could Do It Again I Would Save Some Money And Go With Lifted Leaf Springs All The Way Around.....thats Not Bad Shocks, Lift And Steering Arm For That $.

Re: Front Spring/Rear Block lift for 86 chevy
I broke a set of springs on a 79 once! But I was doing stupid stuff and deserved it.If you are getting on it off road you better ck into kicker shocks or traction bar set up .In the end it let me run big horse power & not get wheel hop or spring twist!!. pro fox is right you can get the bolts at any good shop & your lines SHOULD be ok BUT dont strech them just get new ones if its to far
