Lucas Oil Treatment
Ive been told that if you run your engine pretty hard that putting Lucas Oil Treatment would be ideal to protect the engine however several others have explained to me that in a new engine (5,600) miles putting the stuff would only gum up the engine and not allow for max performance. What's the story?

my dad put it in his el camino evey oil change and he changed the oil every 3000 miles or so and when he sold it the guy buying it wanted the engine and shit checked and the mechanic told the buyer it looked like a brand new engine. as for gumming it up never heard of that but if you have real small clearences and oyu need a real thin oil your not gonna want to use cause the lucas thickens the oil so you wouldnt get proper lubriacation in the bearings and shit but yea when your driving hard it does help cause it helps the oil from braking down from high heat
