when you guys are talking about installs...

what does it mean by "...the more important thing in your system is not the brands, but it is more to the install..."
when saying the word "install", does it refer to tuning and such or just the "assembling the stuff in"?
i know that this is a silly question but it just comes out everytime i need a tip, could someone explained this to me? thanks!

Re: when you guys are talking about installs...

Well when I say it it would mean both. Your equipment that hook up your amps and wut not are very imprtant. You have to make sure you are getting through enough amperage to your amps, thus they make different wire for installs like 0 gauge 4 gauge 8 gauge and wut not. The sub box also plays important role obviously in the install to get optimum sound. You might even want to change you battery and alternator to get more power depending on wut you will be powering in the car.

Re: when you guys are talking about installs...

The old adage is pretty simple...

An audio system is only going to be as good as it's weakest link, and 99.99999% of the time that link is in the install. By install I mean how well the products are installed, are the components placed properly, is the wiring sufficient, how well the system is tuned - all of that. If you're spending a large wad on equipment, you sure as hell had better either front the money and get it installed by a professional, or learn how to do it properly yourself. You can have the best sub in the world, but if you're just going to throw it in a flea market bandpass box, then you're just pissing into the wind.

a good install and tuning can make or break a system. It won't make bargain basement stuff sound like top of the line, but it can make top of the line equipment sound like crap if done badly.

Yup...

10% Product 90% Install

And as far as subwoofers go...
"It's ALL in the box!"
