We are trying to replace the CV joint in my 93 intrepid but the control arm won't budge from the hub, technically the two pieces can be seperated with a pry bar but we have already broken two forks and a pry bar there is too much rust and corrosion . We tryed using a disel clamp and snapped in half the last few days we've been stumped. Any advise would help.

Re: '93 control arm won't budge
get a heat source, like a torch, and heat the pivot portion of the control arm for a few minutes and see if that'll break the rust; don't worry about melting the spacers/bushings, they can be easily replaced.

Re: '93 control arm won't budge
I'm assuming you are trying to split ball joint stud from knuckle if so once the pinch bolt is removed just drive a flat srew driver or something in split portion to spread. and if your trying to remove axle from the knuckle bearing you may have to remove complete knuckle and axle together one unit and work at it on bench or vise remove bolts at strut and ball joint and pry axle out one unit
