2001 5.3L Cylinder Order....MISFIRE problems
Hello,
New to the forum...hoping someone can help. I have a 2001 5.3L silverado. I have a P303 error. A misifre on cylinder #3. I have read a few threads regarding misfires. And, I am hoping to avoid spending alot of money, as anyone would. All the advice I have read so far is very helpful. I think first I will inspect my wiring, maybe check resistance, maybe swap some cables around. I suppossedly have double platinium 100K spark plugs, but I think in the end it might be the cheapest road to go down to begin with. I just recently had my 60K service, they stated that they did do a full fuel injection service. So, again I assuming that things look good as far as my injectors go. Any suggestions on quick checks on the coil? But mostly......how are the cylinders ordered? In reference to standing in front the vehicle? Any other suggestions? Thank you. |

There is a TSB reguarding injector terminal "fretting" which will trigger a P0300 or P030X (cylinder specific). A fuel injection system service does not neccesarly mean that a coil balance test was performed. It may just mean you had some cleaner run through them. The TSB refers to 2001 engine VIN "T" Multec 2 injectors.
