Right hand drive conversion

I have gotten lucky once again and can trade a not needed powersteering pump from my extra engine for a complete right hand drive swap from a guy locally (15 min away) I am considering doing this however I just want to know what all is involved. Has anyone done this or can someone or some people send or post some pics of s13 (right hand drive) firewalls with the engine out and firewalls of left hand drive with the engine out so I can physicaly see what all is different and decide if it is worth all the time and effort to do this.

Re: Right hand drive conversion

If this guy is willing to give you a "complete RHD swap", can't you ask him what's involved?

So you want to drive a RHD car with no power steering...I hope that's not your daily driver.

Re: Right hand drive conversion

it's not a daily driver but I would have powersteering also. I have 2 full Sr swaps one that is in the car and one that has a blown ring. I was going to part the other engine out in a month or so anyways. He hasn't done the right hand drive he just had orderd a clip and only did engine swap so I have all the other shit I want. I'm just trying to decide how practical it is.

Re: Right hand drive conversion

i think it'll be pretty fun.. but it wouldn't be practical. but since u say it's not ur daily... oh well.

i don't see an obvious advantage or anything in spending all the time and money to get RHD. But, it's your money so i'd say it'll help you stand out at the least... g luck with it either way.

it is very fukin unpractical to do a RHD swap. almost the most unpractical thing you can do. cool, but not practical.
