help on painting type r grill
I just got one of those cheapo type r grill off ebay and its black but it doesnt match my car so i got some black touch up paint from my honda dealership and i tried painting it but it looks like crap, the paint they gave me was really sticky and dried really quick. can anyone recomend some better paint, or what type of brush to use. also can i paint it then sand it to smooth it out, or does that just scratch it. any tips would be helpful.

i have a 97 civic and i bought a type r grill and mine came in white (my car is black). i just used spray-on primer and black touch up spray paint, both from discount auto parts. it came out real good in my opinion....

Just go to Pep Boys and get some of that Plastikote spray paint in the can. I used it on my headlights and hubcaps and they worked fine. Just remember to use primer, then paint, then clear coat.
