Need B17 engine
I am trying to find a B17-VTECH engine to swap into my 92 Integra. I cant find any websites that sell this engine. Any help????

the reason you can't find them is because they were only made in 92 and 93. i don't know anywhere that sells them but there's alot of place to find b18's. what's wrong with the b18c1?

you won't find one for sale at any sites that sell engines. it is a rare honda engine. You do however have a few options:
1: buy a B18c or a B16a instead 2: go to an Advance auto, pepboys, etc. and buy a rebuilt B17a long block. This will come with everything except for transmission and all the engine tin work, starter etc. costs about 2100. plus a 350 dollar core charge which you wouldn't have so might as well tack that onto the price tag and make it an even 2450 3: Buy a b16a3 and buy a B17a1 crank, rods, and pistons then swap them into the B16a3 and viola homemade b17a. (not so sure of this one but in theory it should work) Honestly its not worth the hassle. the B17 only has 5 more ft'lbs of torque than the B16 and it has less HP and Torque than the B18c soooo why bother ripping your hair out trying to find one?

Did you just say "Pepboys" "Advance auto" they sell that stuff? i didn't know they could get anything like that. I thought a GSR was a B17 i guess i'm wrong.

B17 was only in 92 and 93 gs-r, after that it was a b18c.
The B17 is just a stroked B16a3. and yes you can get rebuilt long or short blocks from advance,pepboys, etc for just about any vehicle. I priced a B17 for my 93 gs-r awhile back and it was 2100 for the long block and a 300-350 dollar core charge for my old block. PS they also carry rebuilt trannies.

A local (to cincinnati) well trusted tuner shop/JDM importer has an EXCELLENT CONDITION b17 ready to drop in.
