Will it fit?

Hello all....new to the forum but i have a quick question.
I have a '93 non-sho taurus with a 3.0 that's crashed in the front.
I would like to know if anyone on this forum could tell me it that '93 taurus 3.0 will fit in a '96 non-sho taurus with a bad 3.0.

Thanks in advance

John

Re: Will it fit?

You could use the block and a few of the accessories, but the '93 is an OBD1 engine and the '96 is OBD2 so you'd need to convert alot of the wiring on either the car or the engine so that they match up.

Re: Re: Will it fit?

drdisque,
Is this feasable? The '93 is mine (freshly crashed by me)...the '96 is on ebay...close to home, looks like good shape but has blown motor. I have the tools and garage space to make this happen.
Would the exhaust manifolds and the rest of the accessories from the 96 bolt on to the 93? Or is it hopeless?
Either i will find another 93-95 for the front clip, buy the 96 and swap motor, or sell the 93 for parts....

I am trying to weigh all the options here.

Thank you for your response and hope to see more from you on this.

Thanks again.

John

Re: Will it fit?

If you live in NY state you might want to check that stuff with inspection regulations for 96 and up years.
