chevelle malibu 1972

I'm looking to buy a 72 malibu convertible. It has a 373 open rear 10 bolt. What does that mean and is it a good or bad thing? Thanks

3.73 is the ring and pinion gear size, 10 bolt is the smaller of the two popular GM rear ends has 10 bolts holding on the cover. Open, i think they means non- positraction. Hope this helps a little.
